Comments:
In 1961, the Booker Venture, a specialised bulk carrier of 8,227 gross tons (10,700 tons deadweight) was delivered from the Sunderland shipyard of Austin and Pickersgill Ltd. Her special nature was not so much her size but her carrying capacity related to her shallow draft of 25ft. In 1966 the Booker Venture was lengthened at Smith's Dock Co Ltd., increasing her deadweight to 13,500 tons with relatively little alteration to her draft.

In 1978 the Booker Venture was sold to the Transvenezualen Shipping Company of Panama and renamed Caribbean Memories. 1981 sold to Thanic Shipping Co, Greece renamed Thanic. 1986 sold to Pyramis Shipping Ltd, Malta renamed Trader. 1986 scrapped at Alang, India.
